People were nice. Room was dirty--tissues, bedspreads had little black flecks all over them. Windowsills had lots of webs. Clerk didn't know how we could call them. No housekeeping on the weekend; had to go to the office twice to get toilet paper.

We had a wonderful stay at the Thunderbird Inn! It was such a great weekend, we will definitely be back! The rooms were clean & very cool with the retro decor, the staff was so lovely, and the property was conveniently located to everything. Highly recommend :)

Clean, simple, friendly

They were very accommodating and helpful! Easy to get to location, and right next to a Trolly stop! Super comfy beds, and an affordable price!

Clean but showing signs of age

Room was clean, but is definitely showing signs of wear and tear (to be expected from a place that's been around for a long time). However, the room was tidy and very clean. Yes, the bathtub and tile floor in the bathroom could use a major update, but they were kept up. The only real problem I had was the door to my room not closing very well. I had to force it closed on several occasions. It's not a heavy door, so it needs to be guided closed otherwise it won't latch. This is a roadside motel, so the noise level is moderate. You can hear all the street traffic, and seeing as the hotel is located on a busy street, it's not quiet for very long. Staff were all really remarkable. Everyone I encountered was very hospitable, kind, and very helpful. The complimentary lemonade and popcorn in the lobby are a nice treat, as is the coffee, donuts and juice in the mornings. I'd most likely stay here again. In terms of location, this place is great. It's close to places of interest as well as restaurants and the highway for anyone taking a day trip to Tybee Island or elsewhere.
