Crumbs on the pull out bed, needed to ask for sheets and pillows for pullout bed, no cups for the in room coffee maker, no soap in bathroom, stains on the carpet and the sofa had holes on the cushions

The room had not been cleaned after the prior guest. There was hair (head & pubic) in the sheets even though the bed was made. Crumbs around the room & only 1 washcloth & face towel- adding the knowledge it was not properly cleaned, if at all. We actually caught COVID after our stay, although I know it can't be nailed down to an exact source. Contacted manager several times requesting a refund & was told I had to contact Travelocity. He didn't believe the room hadn't been cleaned, but we can't be the only ones who have brough this issue to his attention. Property is clearly not being kept up. This property should be avoided all ALL costs!

Room layout was a bit odd with a barn door on the bathroom that had a frosted window that lit up the room when the bathroom light was on - not good for those still sleeping. Breakfast was below average for selections but the breakfast attendant was very nice and helpful.

I did not spend much the hotel or the area. My interest for the trip was about 50 miles, but the location was convienient.

This Marriott Hotel is just off Highway 81 and was very convenient to stop there on our way from Virginia to Cape Cod. The receptionist was friendly and helpful and the room and bathroom were clean and bug-free. We will stay at a Springhill Suites next time we are driving this way.
