Upon entering the hotel lobby, a strong body odor was present. Desk staff at check in seemed ok yet unprofessional. There was a man in next room off the lobby being very loud and vulgar to someone and turns out it was the "owner". We were instructed to only park out back of establishment, which is whatever but seems odd. We were told the breakfast would only be instant coffee and muffins (turned out to be pop tarts). Upon pulling around back, there were people hanging out in the parking lot and seemed like a red roof hotel. The door into the hotel has a card swipe option, but was always propped, so zero security measures. On entry of our room, the rug had multiple spots that had paint on it as if the painters didn't know of drop cloths. The chair and couch were heavily stained and we opted to not sit on them. The floor on one side of the bed was sticky. The water had a very strong odor and not that of sulfur. The toilet handle stuck every time we'd flush. Also the toilet made this rattling sound every now and then. Our first morning, the "housekeeping" lady lightly tapped on the door and then attempted to gain entrance with key, in which I happened to be right there heading to bathroom. I stopped her and told her we didn't need her services, where she rudely asked why. Our last morning, we loaded our car and proceeded to main lobby to check out. The two personnel behind the desk looked very unprofessional (one in a track suit and other in a hoodie). And more to say.

shady character hanging around front desk area, not mentally right, front desk should have done something about him. bed spring very squeaky, air handling unit noisy, power went out twice, property looks tired, outdoor lighted sign in parking lot for highway visibility was dark, hit my head on towel rack twice getting up from toilet.

The place was a dump. There was dirt everywhere and my wife did not stay. She told them the room was unacceptable and she was going to go somewhere else and wanted a refund but they refused saying once she checked in they would bill her card. This is a rip off and I want my money back!

The staff were excellent. Amber was very sweet tried to put us in a “good” room, as new owner is remodeling, and pool and hot tub neither working, on well water and it’s sulfur water. And the tub drain wouldn’t hold water and the AC unit worked but squealed constantly. Breakfast was advertised but muffins and apples were all that was available. So Amber was the only positive point of our stay. I think we might try here again but not for about a year to give the new owner a chance to complete the updating.

The room was surprisingly roomy. The bed, pillow, and sheets were very comfortable. I only with there was a countertop/mirror and sink that was outside the bathroom like at most hotels.
