Thank you for taking the time to reach out. I wanted to send out an apology regarding the fire alarm on your most recent stay with us. After some investigation into the alarms that sounded during your stay, our engineering staff was able to locate the trigger for the alarm. Unfortunately with the inclement weather the city experienced last week, the water supply coming off the main and into the hotel has experienced rapid pressure fluctuations within our life safety equipment. While our team was able to pinpoint that issue earlier in the afternoon, the secondary alarm overnight was unfortunately a result of another pressure drop within that system again causing the alarm to sound. Although we prepare our team to respond appropriately, we could not have foreseen another pressure drop of that nature to occur after being corrected and restored by our staff. Our life safety equipment is annually tested and monitored 24 hours but we are still working on how to prevent issues of this nature in the future. We did debrief as a team Monday morning to hopefully better manage the situation in the future although the circumstances were truly a one off. Our staff does have protocol and a standard set of procedures the follow when we have emergencies take place but as you can imagine, the overnight staff is limited and it’s difficult to manage all of our guests needs during such an event. That being said, I can’t imagine how incredibly frustrating that must have been for you and I want to ensure we resolve this. We appreciate your business and hope you will return despite the unforeseen issues while here.
