First stay and this is a wonderful throw back hotel with a great staff. When I arrived, my room was set on A/C at 55 degrees and no amount of heat would warm the room. Without a flinch, the front desk moved me to a corner room with panoramic view and it was a first class stay!

The property is in a great location, so you can walk to many areas. The property itself, though, left a lot to be desired. First, in the picture of the room on the website, it shows a desk and a side chair. The room we had was small and had only a bed. I used the luggage rack as a chair and the bed as a desk. Also, there was no hot water the whole three nights we were there, only lukewarm water. Lastly, though I realize likely just an anomaly, the fire sprinkler system had an alarm beeping in the closet next to our room the whole time we were there. It was extremely annoying and I was surprised they weren't more attentive in resolving it.

We liked the historical charm of the building and its in a good location. Missed the mark on elegance. Think rental property attention to detail opposed to primary residence. Lobby felt very unsecured, sometimes no staff in there at all.
