Bed bugs!!! Went to sleep and not even 30 minutes later I get bit. Killed one huge bug full of my blood and inspected the bed. Didnt see anymore so i decided we'd stay. Got bit again right away on my arm and my back....coming at me from all sides! My boyfriend was lucky that they only like me. Never going to choose a cheap place again. You get what you pay for. Left the hotel at 1am to stay at a very comfortable Hampton Inn about 5 min away. Had to wash all of my luggage basically running the next morning plans. Good thing is that they let me cancel and refunded Travelocity. Just hope Travelocity will follow through with refunding me the full amount as well.

The room was dirty handprints on the window and dirty carpet. We cleaned and sanitized the room, prior to use. The bed was comfortable, though.

Had a good stay at Oyster Point Inn & Suites Newport News, the only negative during my 2 day Memorial day stay was that the only ice machine on the property was not functioning.

The staff was fine but the room had bed bugs ,, ended up at the doctor because I couldnt figure out what my rash was...

It was a ok room, did not have a comforter on the bed. House keeping was nice. Front counter person I checked in with on Saturday was rude and short with response. I asked how close to the bay and or ocean I was and her response was she failed geography

The staff was very courteous. The facility and room were clean - just dated. The doors into the room and into the bathroom were hard to open & close - seemed like they were swelled due to humidity. Not unexpected in July in Virginia! The room did smell a little like smoke even though it was supposed to be a non-smoking room. We didn't bring any of this up because it was late when we checked in and we were exhausted. But for one night, it did the trick while staying under budget.

The staff was nice and friendly however, the motel and rooms are dated. The toilet, shower and carpet was dirty. The refrigerator stand was badly deteriorated. The Jamison Inn is in desperate need of a makeover.
