Everything was seamless from the valet to the bellman to check-in, easy and quick. Our room was ready but we went for a drink and the front desk called us about 25 mins later to tell us our room was ready. The bellman brought our luggage and kindly went a refilled a cooler with ice and brought it back to us. Concierge made reservations for us at the hotel restaurants. The food at Mowery & Cotton was outstanding. Our waitress Pang, at the Tavern was amazing and beyond attentive. Room was perfect. My neice has difficulty walking and they made sure to put us in a room that was centrally located to the restaurants and the pool. They gave us a ride down to the Tavern restaurant by the golf course so you didn’t have to walk in the heat. Just outstanding. My only complaint would be the pool. It was 116 degrees outside and everyone was looking to the pool to cool off but the pool was so warm it felt terrible. I’m not familiar with how most hotels deal with extreme heat and if they are able to pump in cold water but it was a huge disappointment since we couldn’t use it as a way to cool down. We left after 30-minutes. This wouldn’t stop me from staying here again and again.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful and in a great location in Scottsdale. I was shocked with the service that we received from such a highly rated hotel. We waited four hours to check in. It took us two hours to get two kids lunches at the pool, it took approximately 15 minutes waiting in line to ask a question at the front desk. I called one of the hotel restaurants to make a reservation, nobody answered so I called the front desk and they recommended walking over to the restaurant to make a reservation. I cannot get over the service at this hotel. We’ve had much better service at 3 star hotels compared to this hotel.

Professional and friendly staff who go out of their way to be helpful. Heated pool complex is very nice as it is the Tennis program. JG restaurant on site is excellent as well

Preferred the decor prior to remodel. It was classic, traditional and opulent. The contemporary look is similar to many other hotels. Nothing to distinguish it from the pack. The food choices in Mowrey and Cotten were also not what I expected based on prior visits. Choice is limited and too “Southern California “ for me. We ended up eating off the resort most of our stay. Obviously the changes are directed to a different crowd than it was previously. Was disappointed with this visit for those two reasons.

Fabulous Large Resort

Pros: The hotel is in a great location and the grounds and facilities are immaculate. The desert garden was decorated for the holidays and was lovely.
Cons: It was perfect.
Location: The Phoenician is less than 2 hours from Sedona which is a wonderful day trip.
The Phoenician is a fabulous large resort on the edge of Scottsdale. We are a family of 5 and there was plenty of choices for everyone including tennis, bilking, pool, hot tub, kids club and golf. The service was very good even though the hotel was at capacity. The dining options were also great from the J & G steak house to the buffet breakfast to the food at the pool.

loved this hotel.

Pros: Quiet, large room, beautiful bathroom, large balcony, great grounds
Room was large, bathroom clean, no noise, just relaxing, aahhhh. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
