The first impression I got was, "Wow, this is a SMALL room"! We've stayed at several suites and this was by far the smallest. Unfortunate, because we had 3 staying in the room instead of the normal 2. It was very close quarters for two, let alone 3! The key cards are proximity read, however the "proximity" is pressed flat up against the reader and they only worked 2/3rds of the time. I thought at first that the key didn't work, as I kept getting error codes when trying to access the building and my room. My wife and I went to get our cards reprogrammed, when the desk girl explained that they are finicky. One oddity was that there were no cups or glasses in the bathroom. I'v never encountered this, even in the very smallest and cheapest hotels that I've stayed at, and I've stayed in a LOT. The staff was very friendly, but seemed inexperienced. We went to the bar one night and the "bartender" was not a bartender, but simply a girl that normally works the front desk. My wife asked what kinds of wine they served and she didn't know how to answer her. She asked for a particular style of wine and the girl kept pulling bottles out and asking my wife, "is this it"? The bar sat maybe 15 people at most and is only open to 10 pm, so they're not really serious. It's simply a convenience if you want overpriced bad wine and cheap whiskey. Instead, we went to a supermarket and purchased our own bottles. The hotel overall was quiet and very modern. Probably won't stay there again. Grade: B-
