It served its purpose
I’m not one to leave bad reviews, but I feel like I should be 100% transparent for the next guests.
First of all, I stayed as a middle-aged man with his dog, no spouse. Keep that in mind…
I didn’t expect too much, considering the price of the unit and really wanted somewhere with a hot shower and a clean bed, and somewhere to let my dog stretch her legs after a ten hour drive.
All those things were missing from this stay. Yes, technically there is a fenced yard, however it is in need of some major TLC. Even hitting it with Weedwacker and a little Round-Up would take all of an hour and make such a difference. I had thought about bbq’ing a couple burgers the first night, but the gas grill was pretty rough and I wasn’t sure if I was up to date on my tetanus shot. I opted for delivery and it was fine.
It wanted to wash my dogs bowl and unfortunately there was so little hot water, it was fruitless. I went to take a shower and water sprayed from all the connections on the shower head. It was late, so I decided to message the owner the next morning. He was responsive and came in while I was away and repaired/replaced the head.
Since the shower didn’t work, I just decided to go to bed. I pulled back the comforter and blanket and there was a Tootsie Roll wrapper between them. I’m assuming the bedding hadn’t been fully cleaned, otherwise that wouldn’t have been there. Thankfully my girlfriend had me pack my own bedding, just in case. So I stripped the bed and used my own.
