GARAGE DOES NOT HAVE RESERVE PARKING, THEY CHARGED US AT CHECK IN BUT DID NOT INFORM US IT WAS OVERSOLD. THERE WERE NO SPOTS LEFT IN GARAGE, MONEY WAS RETURNED WE HAD TO PARK 2 BLOCKS AWAY AND WALK BACK.

Nice location but not for swimming

The hotel room was comfortable and spacious. I had a poor experience with the hotel pool. There were several young boys in the pool and pool area without supervision. The pool was not usable by any other guests. It was filthy. It was not also not a family friendly hotel. There was a lot of traffic through the hotel from non hotel residents.

Great Stay

Pros: The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Breakfast was very good and I liked the parking arrangement with the adjacent garage.
Cons: The new fangled elevators need work. Doors close too fast when people are both exiting and entering. Replace "Floor unavailable" with choose A or B
Location: Loved the location. Easy walking distance to Coliseum and Convention Center and all of downtown
Spent three nights at the hotel while attending events associated with VCU's graduation. The exterior and some interior features are still under construction, but our room was neat, well decorated and clean. There are a few items that are due to ongoing construction. For example, since your guide to the hotel is loose leaf and pages can be replaced as needed, why not state that the rooftop restaurant is not yet ready. It took a "Floor not available" message from the elevator and subsequent trip to the front desk to figure that one out. Labeling the elevators A, B, C, and D, along with labeling sides of the parking garage A and B, lead to some confusion in written instructions. These are minor points and I would definitely stay here again.
