This is an older property and there has been efforts to update / refresh. New bedding and minimalistic furnishings, newer linoleum flooring, which was sticky from previous occupants, painted walls and ceiling of living area.....however the bathroom had what appeared to be black mold on the ceiling and doors were probably original and not cleaned in many years. There were lights on each side of bed on wall, however no light bulbs. The biggest concern was the amount of "activity " in several of the units that continued through the night. 3 rooms on the first floor had multiple cars coming and going all night. The people and the cars were loud. For the price I didn't expect the Hilton...and what efforts they have made are on the right track, but this is the first time I stayed at a motel and felt I had to stick a chair under the door knob and sleep with my clothes on. Online this is listed the closest motel to the hospital that we needed to be at really early and the pictures looked decent and renovated. I was going to call the office to request a wake up call and just make them aware of the "activity "BUT......the phone didn't work. Turned out I didn't need a wake up call....it was so loud outside that we were continually woken up.

Not all there

The motel was clean but there is no coffee or breakfast on site The closest decent restaraunt is about 3 miles away after pullling a u turn on a 6 lane local road I would not rebook here again

America's Best off Midlothian Turnpike Richmond, VA

The staff was not helpful, the room was dirty, my room did not get cleaned during my stay, there were bugs, when we arrived the heat was left on at over 80 degrees. It was an awful experience. Do not stay at this hotel. There was a Days Inn across the street that we will try next time we stay.

Very bad exerience with smoke and cleanliness

Made reservation of a non-smoking room. First room provided was was noxious of smoke smell and lysol. The front deadbolt on the door was broken and althought the room was cleaned it still seemed dirty. Front desk assigned 2 more rooms to check. The additional rooms had very heavy smoke and lysol smell. These was all no - smoking rooms. We decided to take the least smelly room. Daughter then discovered what appeared to be blood in the tub, and that the toilet was not clean. We did not stay. Just want to give consumers fair warning to my family experience. The statf was corteous and allowed us to check out.
