The pillow is super soft with valet parking. Shower room is little dirty, I able to see the hair stick on the shower wall that does not belong to me. And the shower wall and shower room floor is little dirty. There is water stain on the sink faucet handle. The room service menu has multiple food stain.

great restored building

Pros: Beautiful building, lots of old details. The room was quiet at night despite the fact we were there over St. Patrick's day.
Cons: Get the third elevator running! Offer coffee from an urn in the morning. Maybe add a continental breakfast.
Location: Walking distance to dining. Close to museums and sports, close to the convention center.
We spent two nights. The room was large, beautiful and clean. This would be a great place to spend an extended period, such as if you are in town on business for a week. The location downtown was convenient to good dining. The only downside of the location is that you have no choice but valet your car. The staff were nice and tried to be helpful, but seemed a little clueless. It would be nice if there were a few more amenities, such as a free coffee service or breakfast.

Nice hotel downtown

It was a nice experience aside of the fact of not being informed of a $20 a day parking fee. Aside of that, very nice place other then homeless people frequent outside around the corner asking for money.

We appreciate your honesty. We have worked very hard to make sure we have a good image, both inside and outside the hotel. We are always looking out for these situations, and addressing them on the spot if we see it happen. Thank you for sharing this with us, and we are glad you enjoyed your stay!

Just one caveat.

Pros: Accepts pets.
Cons: Offer a small portable heater to guests by request.
Location: Centrally located near the convention center.
Overall a fine hotel but I have a particular sensitivity to temperature and only discovered the their heat system is turned off for the summer. Apparently this is now true of many properties. Consequently the rooms highest temperature is limited to the outside temp. I got severe chills both nights of my stay. (Most folks would not have this problem). I also would note that the motel does accept pets. Although not traveling with my dog, I consider this a big plus.

Thank you for sharing comments Nick, and yes, we do love our four-legged guests! Due to fire codes in the city of St. Louis, we are unable to offer portable heaters to our guests. We have an ample supply of additional blankets available upon request!

Very Nice Hotel

Pros: We liked the friendly staff, the decor and how close it was to so many attractions.
Cons: The price of parking could be lowered. While the room was clean, it wasn't deep cleaned. Dust on top of lamps, but really it was fine.
Location: The Magnolia is located near major attractions. Walking distance to the Arch, Busch Stadium, Edward Jones Dome, Convention Center & restaurants.
We really enjoyed staying at the Magnolia Hotel. We were greeted right away by the doorman and then the employee and manager at the front desk was super friendly and accommodating. We were upgraded from a King room to a King Suite. It was big and decorated tastefully. The bathroom towels were fluffy and luxurious. Bed linens and bed were nice as well. Oddly, there wasn't a mini fridge. They have a very expensive $28 valet parking fee. Fortunately, I was told before we arrived that we could park at The Marriott's parking garage a block away on 9th for $16 for 24 hours. They had a very basic continental breakfast of cold pastries/muffins.

Great hotel!

Pros: Unique room layout, staff attentiveness.
Location: Is downtown STL, so plenty to go and experience!
Great hotel! Staff was wonderful, plenty of unusual amenities (like 8pm cookies and milk!) Rooms looked redone recently but lacked some detail in the painting. But overall a great place to stay!

Will not go back...

No hot water in shower and also the shower/tub would not drain so you had to stand in 2 feet of water. Also there was no refrigerator in the room...for $250 you would expect one.

Great location to downtown

Pros: Beautiful historic hotel. Lovely common areas to sit and have a drink
Cons: A refrigerator in the room would be helpful. Room a little cramped but still very nice
Location: lots of good restaurants nearby. Easy access to the interstate
Super friendly and helpful staff at the desk and restaurant/bar. good location to downtown
