Confusion and foreign call centers.....

Pros: The two bedroom suite at the Residence Inn North was very nice and the staff is superb
Notified the day of travel that the hotel mentioned was overbooked although I had reserved and paid for the stay 4 months in advance. Spent 90 minutes with a nice lady in the Philippines and eventually she grasped the situation and found new accommodations. Arriving at the Residence Inn North, I was informed that the credit card number provided by the booking agent was no good forcing me to pay for the room again. A heroic effort by the manager, Jessica, eventually resolved the issue with the credit card and made my blood pressure go down.

Nice Place

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
I went here for the annual Hamvention at Hara Arena in May 2010. It is a very nice facility and handy to restaurants, easy run to both Hara and the Airport.

Spotless, comfortable, convenient!

We had a very pleasant stay. The hotel was spotless, the 2-bedroom suite was comfortable and the location was very convenient. The hotel is within a quarter mile of at least 15 popular national chain restaurants as well as a Wal-Mart/Sam's Club. The free breakfast was tasty and filling. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I heartedly recommend staying here!

We will stay here again...

I promised the desk clerk (unsolicited) that I would "write a great review ," and here it is: Stay at "TownePlace Suites by Marriott Dayton North." It's really great. We picked this hotel at random from Marriott's site. We stayed there Halloween night, and we thought it was a fantastic deal. We had the smallest room, but it had a REAL kitchen: electric cooktop, dishwasher, a full-sized (quiet) fridge, and enough cookware to make a pasta dinner if we wanted. They thought of everything. The room was comfortable, clean, and well-furnished: the bed was even firm enough for my bad back. The flat-screen TV was a nice touch. The lobby included a cabinet full of free toiletries... not just razors (good ones) and shaving cream (name brand), but single doses of medicines from Coppertone to Imodium A-D. Breakfast was clean and plentiful, but the hotel is right behind Cracker Barrel, so we ate there to get an early start (it opens at 6AM, even on Sunday). The hotel is very close to I-70 & I-75, so no time or gas was wasted on our cross-country drive. The staff is very helpful, and so was the comprehensive list of local restaurants (with phone numbers) in the room. Here's the best part for weekend trips: WE HAD THE PLACE TO OURSELVES. The hotel caters mainly to business travelers, so there were almost no other guests on Saturday night. It was quiet, and we felt pampered.
