We thought that we were staying in the main hotel, instead we were put in the villas. Our room was on the 3rd floor and had to bring up our bags without an elevator. All the villa’s elevators are not operating, so if you have a disability, this is not the hotel for you. As soon as we get in the room, we discovered that our toilet was not running either, which was fixed quickly. When it was time to go to bed, we realized our mini fridge and TV also weren’t working. When I called the front desk, they gave me a choice of having the TV or mini fridge service call, we waited for 45 min without anyone showing, in that 45 min wait, our neighbors decided to bang on the walls to scare out a lizard in their room. We finally had enough and requested another room. The new room was on the 2nd floor, again no elevator, but was much cleaner than the first, however there was trash and clothes left from the previous guest. Also only one soda machine that I could see for all the villa buildings, which was no surprise that everything was sold out. Additionally they tried to charge us for a parking fee, which was strange because we self parked. The property is beautiful, which made up for the guest suites, which was very disappointing as you would think they would put the same attention to detail in the rooms.

One beautiful week in Ponte Vedra Beach

Pros: The distance to Sawgrass golf club house , many restaurants and Mayo Clinic .
Location: The beach is only a mile away , lots of shops and dining choices .
Excellent overall experience . The front desk staff person " Gabby Roque " was an expert at her profession . I had a few difficult requests which she handled for me perfectly . Initially I had booked for one night but needed up extending my trip for 4 more nights . The room was in a quiet part of the hotel, with a nice water view out my window. My room had recently been renovated . It was quite nice . Large flatscreen tv, king size bed, walk in shower . mini fridge , kuerig coffee machine with bottles of water placed above . I spent my days at Mayo Clinic . I was nice to be able to return to the Marriot at nights for peace . I was able to use the hotel starbucks in the lobby every morning . For dinners i walked next store to the town center for great dinners at Nona Blue . When we were in the process of building our home in Sawgrass CC , we stayed here in 2007 & 2008 . It was a totally nicer experience this week , Everyone in the hotel was very nice and welcoming . I highly reccomend the Sawgrass Marriot .

Very nice resort

Pros: Setting and friendliness of staff
Cons: Finish the construction!
Location: Palm Valley Fish Camp nearby and Cap's on the Water down A1A toward St. Augustine are excellent restaurants with great seafood. Many shopping venues.
We spent Christmas here with relatives and had a great time. I thought our room, a suite, was really nice for the money. It was quiet and comfortable and fresh. The staff was very friendly. The food was good (had the breakfast buffet). The only problem was that there was a lot of reconstruction going on (the pool was closed and there was plenty of construction activity there on the day after Christmas. The beach facility was nice and easy to get to by the free shuttle bus. Made for a nice, relaxing holiday.

Nice Hotel

Pros: Close to home
Cons: Do construction at the time of check out 11:00 a.m. Most work can be done without the noise prior. Making the guest aware is fair.
We checked in On a Sunday. They had 33 percent occupancy and had a very busy weekend with 5 weddings. Our room that was assigned was not up to our standards. We did not want to look out over the convention room top and absolutely no view. We could hear the A.C. units. We asked to be relocated and they were very hospitable and assisgned us to a room with a view. We wondered why we were not assigned the room in the first place. Some restaurants on Property were not open and the lounge closed at 10:00. At 9:20 Monday Morning we woke to the sound of pounding, like someone was hammering. I got up and called to the front desk. I was placed on hold and then told by the receptionist that the President Suite was under construction. We were hoping to sleep in to 10:30 but to no avail. When i dressed and went for coffee you could hear the pounding noise throughout the Hotel.

BEST HOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED AT

Pros: Absolutely everything
Cons: Their on site putt putt course could use some improvement, but this is just picking something, because everything was amazing.
Location: 10 minutes from the beach but a shuttle is offered to the private beach club. Shopping and food 30 minutes from St. Augustine.
From the moment we pulled up me and my wife were amazed at the facilities. We have never been to a hotel where the staff was so outgoing and willing to do anything to make your stay amazing. There is a shuttle (ten Min) Drive to the private beach club. There the pampering and staff continue to amaze us. The Bed's were some of the most amazing beds. If you decide to go you must visit the amazing on site spa. We will put this on our schedule and will definitely be back even for a weekend stay.

amazing views

Very glad I went during a lull for other travelers to this resort. Very peaceful. a gecko got into my room. Stayed a villas. Some rust on faucet features but truely amazing stay.
