A beautiful location, comfortable rooms and most of the food was good. However, I was extremely disappointed that we did not have access to additional resort properties (as advertised) where we could experience different food options and an open grill throughout the day. Upon arrival, we were told that the other property was closed due to low occupancy. Also, a "concierge desk" is advertised. but there was none. Only seversl brochures for actvities and we had to make arrangements on our own for recreational activities. The front desk staff was not very helpful or knowledgeable in that area. It would have been great for the desk staff to tell us that most places will provide free shuttle services to their venue (e.g., Ricks Cafe, Chukka Horseback riding), but instead we were just told to use taxi services arranged by the hotel. The hotel staff was very pleasant, just not savvy and knowledgeable enough about nearby amenities.

Good day, we are happy that you enjoyed some aspects of our product, we apologize for not fulfilling on the promise of having our guests using both properties as we were in our slow season and had to optimize to reduce cost so that we could be able to facilitate guests budget. We will have our staff trained to better assist guests with excursions by inviting the tour operators to do a briefing on their product for our mutual benefit, thank you for your remarks.

All inclusive, so drinks and meals are available at Merrill’s 2 and 3 for guests! The rooms are nice enough, and the AC worked well! We spend a lot of time off-resort, so this resort was great for us for the price and amenities! Also, beach has security, so guests are watched over nicely.

The dining facility and the variety food was good

Pros: Dining facility and the variety of food,
Cons: Cleaner room and more towels should be provided.
Location: Good location, right on the beach.
The location of the hotel was recently moved and was not in the exact spot that I was expecting when I booked it. Upon arrival at check in time, the room was not ready. When I finally got to the room, it was not cleaned properly and it was very hot. The air condition was slow to cool the room. When I reported this to the staff, the respond time was very slow. I had to go to the front desk several times to try and get the problem resolved.

Quintessential Negril

Pros: The food is outstanding. The beach is perfect.
Cons: The bartender was, more often than not, absent, a slight annoyance. Also, the bar could be better supplied.
Location: At 7 Mile Beach, all tours and activities are available, at reasonable prices.
We arrived, hungry and late, between mealtimes. The concierge had the chef make fine sandwiches for us. Also, having a 2:30 departure for the airport, we were allowed a 2 pm checkout (rather than noon), at no extra charge.

STAY AWAY! NOT ALL INCLUSIVE

Pros: The beach
Cons: increase inventory of liquor, get rid of cats, cook fresh meals with some variety
Location: Shop at Times Square
Wife and I stayed here the last week in October. Buffet style everyday with rehashed meals. Chicken every time for dinner. No red or white wine. Ran out of beer. Ran out of Rum. Feral cats everywhere in the dining area. German Roaches in the dining area. Bathrooms disgusting. Most of the staff were pleasant. Caters to low class Europeans no local Jamaican meals (except jerk chicken)
