The property was a comfortable size with 3 pools and 4 restaurants. You didnt need reservations for the restaurants, except for hibachi. The rooms were nice, but the floor tiles were slippery when wet. The bathroom door was louvered, which was not very practical when sharing a room with others. Room service was fast and food was hot. Showers were nice with decent water pressure. The staff was very accommodating. Check in took 3 hours due to a misspelled name, and the check in staff was of no help with this issue.

Overall, food was good. Person who checked us in was indifferent at best. Room had no hot water during entire stay, even after someone came to check the situation. Room was also noisy. We could hear all the noise and chatter from hallway and noise from people in room above us. We will not be returning. Please do not contact me anymore. Take my name off your e-mail and other contact lists. Thank you.

It supposed to be a 5 star hotel but it isn’t. The room in building 3 is very small. The bathroom is very tiny. If you are not a member you are screwed. The people in the green shirts are trying to harass you to become a vacation club member. It is like a time-share. Staff is nice. Food is oke. Drinks are good. But running out of red stripe light at the pool area, running out if baileys at the pool bar and running out of vanilla ice cream for couple of days. To me this isn’t a 5 star hotel. Will not go back there

Overall everything was wonderful. There could have been more authentic Jamaican food choices. Some of the management could be more respectful when dealing with conflicts.

The Moon Palace Resort/Jamaica, Ocho Rios

Cons: I request that no one in the Hotel try to sale me anything on the first day I arrived. This would stop me from ever returning to such a beautiful plac
Location: ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!!!
1. The Resort Hotel was in the perfect location. 2. However, they were doing construction on the Hotel and the lights flickered on and off in my room. When I requested them to have them fixed. They stated they would send someone to check it out but no one showed up. 3. 98% of the staff was Superior. But I had a Staff member force an offer on myself and my Fiance. He would not listen and he asked some personal questions over and over to my fiance once I left to take care of an errand. This was absolutely awful! I told him we did not want to be bothered but he would not listen. 4. The tours were excellent and we really enjoyed them but when I requested a receipt the receptionist said I did not need one and why I would ask. I like to track everything that is done. 5. When I asked to see the manager, the manger stated that others have used receipts to get extra privileges. I told him I was not anyone and was offended that he would project on me a criminal prospective. 6. HOWEVER, THE JAMAICAN PEOPLE WERE ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! 7.Now, I walked downtown to Ocho Rios. I requested a taxi number just in case I did not want to walk back, the Bellman said he could not provide me this service, for my safety with my Fiance. I was obviously not to happy!
