An older but well maintained property; felt very safe there.

Hotel was clean, room service didn’t make daily visits which was fine with me (COVID). Wasn’t busy at all and only seen a few people walking around inside the hotel. check-in was easy. Definitely would stay again

Great location and beautiful property. Property was shutdown for a few month due to the coronavirus, rooms were not refresh at reopen. It was dusty, coffee and cream was expired. Didn’t was informed about new norms due to situation, like no cleaning during the stay and needed to call for any service.

Amazing location. Amazingly dingy rooms.

Pros: The location of this hotel is fantastic. Walking distance from Biltmore Fashion Park and Esplanade AMC. Hillstone restaurant is sweet too.
Cons: This hotel could be amazing. If feels a lot like the F. Lloyd Wright Biltmore. Just needs to be gutted. New carpets, new linens, VACUUM under the bed!
Location: Esplanade AMC movie theater, Hillstone Restaurant, Biltmore Fashion Park (shopping/eating), Squaw Peak (hiking)
We decided to stay here during the holidays from DEC 22 - DEC 28. We were expecting more from this hotel than we discovered. Before you read further, know that the hotel staff eventually compensated us fairly for our experience. I am not a stickler for perfection either. This is accurate: Upon arrival, our initial impression of the room was that of a dirty Motel 6. It looked as though one to many bachelor parties had taken place there = 'partied out'. We usually take our shoes off at home, but we kept them on the entire time. The carpet was beaten up and had gum stains. The cabinet drawers were very dirty/dusty. It looked like sawdust from drilling that never got cleaned up. We also found more than a few cob-web around the corners of the furniture. The bathroom tub had dirt-clods and hair peppered visibly inside it, like someone had shaken out a rug over it. The place was filthy. Also, they nickel and dime you here. Charge you for internet WIFI and local calls. What year are we living in? I get wifi for free in Central Park NYC. Biggest of all, the heating never worked. We let the front desk know and they supplied us with a tiny space heater and gross polyester blankets, but the problem never got fixed. It was below freezing every night, so it was a big deal. While sleeping we discovered a fish smell from beneath the bed. I shined a light under there and found rotten food and dead bugs. We alerted the front desk, but nothing got resolved.

Family loved it

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Quiet
Cons: No free Internet
Beautiful entrance and decorated lobby area where ponds are filled with large fish. Hotel in very nice part of town. Room was large with ample space. This is a true suite. Breakfast was excellent with made-to-order eggs, pancakes, etc. Kids still talk about this hotel.

Not as good as other Embassy Suites

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet
Cons: poor staff, poor service, fire while we stayed there, restaurant overpriced and poor food
The beds were small doubles in huge rooms, no reason to have such tiny beds. Never got a room service menu for all four days we were there. Had to call twice for extra linens on arrival. Room was prepared for 2 people although I reserved for four people. Never had enough linens even though I asked 3 times for more linens. Breakfast was overcrowded with mostly one person cooking for a fully filled hotel. Had to wait in line for 30 minutes each day for any hot food. Restaurant was had poor service and horribly overpriced and poorly prepared food. One day no one was in restaurant when we arrived for a late lunch. We stood around for 20 minutes and no one was there. On the only morning we could sleep in we had to exit the hotel at 5 am due to fire alarm. A pay phone went on fire and we had to sit outside for 2 hours waiting to return to our rooms. The lobby was nice for the kids to feed the koi and turtles. Most of the staff seemed nice but were overworked and few people were visible. We've been to Hilton Hotels and Embassy Suites multiple times and we would not return to this Phoenix hotel in the future.
