The San Mateo, SFO Airport Hotel is a "you get what you paid for" hotel. My boyfriend and I stayed here for Labor Day weekend, so only 3 nights, which was not bad for what it was. The room was clean, good enough for two people to share, however, the air conditioning unit was outdated and did not circulate throughout the entire room. It felt 10 degrees warmer in our room than it did outside throughout the day, even though the weather was in the upper 80s. They definitely need to have these units replaced. The breakfast was continental and free so that was okay. The hours for breakfast on the weekend are 6:30-9:30 AM, but when we would walk down at 9:20 along with other people, they were already putting the breakfast items away! My boyfriend had to ask one of the attendants for some jam and she complained because she was already starting to clean up...that was not okay and every breakfast item should be out until 9:30 AM, not only until 9:24--this may sound picky, but other people were coming down around the same as us, so it was not just us. Overall, the room was fine, the hotel was fine and it was worth it for a short weekend, but for a longer trip out to CA, I would not stay here again.

My stay here was very pleasant. The rooms were nice and clean and the staff was always friendly and pleasant. The property was clean and in a nice area. There was a beach about 5 minutes away. They had complimentary breafast everyday. I really didnt have anything negative other than they charge a parking fee for each day I was there and I had to pay a 200 dollar security deposit but I got that back the next day but I would stay again the next time I'm in the area.

It is dingy, but clean. The staff are nice and helpful. Sharon checked us in and was extra friendly. Our room was a good size and the bed was comfortable.

Staff was helpful, free shuttle to airport was awesome. Rooms were outdated, door don’t feel secure, stain on bedspread.
