Firstly…we ALWAYS stay here when we visit Kemah/Galveston, and love this hotel and its convenient location. That being said, they need to hire a new maintenance team. We paid extra to stay in a Penthouse suite, and although we loved the size and view, the condition of the room left much to be desired. The window in the bedroom leaked when it rained, so we heard dripping all night; the balcony door would seal properly so we heard howling wind ALL day the next day. The sliding door to the bathroom was improperly installed, so it gouged out a hole along the entire top of the door frame. The couches looked great from afar, but up close there were SO many stains on it, we didn’t feel comfortable sitting on them. Lastly, if you’re going to touch up the paint on the walls instead of repainting, at least use the same color. Mentioned this information to the front desk. While I’m happy that they fixed the balcony door, I was NOT happy that they entered our room while we were out, without informing us. That is unacceptable. Anyway, it is a lovely place, just needs some TLC.

The black lady at the front desk was more than welcoming she was happy to see us. I mentioned that I was there for my birthday and she went out of her way to make it more special . Please give this lady a raise and a gift card ASAP .
