The space
When you stay in the historical 4th and Gill neighborhood, you’ll enjoy walking past dozens of early 1900’s architectural homes. This downtown neighborhood shares many roads that lead directly to Knoxville entertainment and food districts.

Our beautifully restored rental was constructed in 1899 by well known historical architect, George Barber! Those of you who love historic homes will enjoy the original aspects of the home that we were able to retain throughout the restoration process. Original hardwood floors, stained glass windows, fireplace mantle, door knobs and hinges... Post renovation, you will find the space to be a good mix of old and new, tastefully updated with modern touches and amenities. Still, we love to daydream about all of the life that has been lived in this home over the last century!

Although this home is a duplex, both entrances are completely private with no shared spaces, so all mentioned areas will be available just for you. The duplex has an upstairs unit and a downstairs, ground floor unit. You are currently viewing the upstairs unit.

All rooms in the home let the natural sunlight in, which makes for peaceful mornings and presents a charming ambiance when getting ready for an evening out. Of course you can always close the curtains for those moments when you feel like taking a power nap or sleeping in :-)

There are 2 bedrooms with a total of 3 queen beds with top-quality mattresses, pillows, and linens to provide you with the greatest nights of sleep. You’ll also find plenty of storage space to unpack. In the living room, you’ll also find a stylish and comfortable couch, that can also work for an additional guest to sleep comfortably. In front of the sofa, you’ll find the Flat-screen TV ready to connect to any of your favorite streaming applications, making it the perfect spot to make some popcorn and plan a fun movie night.

The cozy kitchen is completely packed with all the necessary amenities to cook all your meals, from the simplest breakfasts or snacks, to elaborate gourmet dinners. Stainless steel appliances include a refrigerator, stove with oven, and microwave. All the necessary kitchenware and tableware provided along with some spices to make your cooking easier.
A lovely dining table with chairs works perfectly to enjoy your meals together while contemplating what else the day might bring. And, if you are coming to Knoxville for work or need to do some work while traveling, there is high speed wifi ready to connect from anywhere in the home.

Finally, the 2 elegantly remodeled full bathrooms are fully equipped with the necessary toiletries. The master bathroom contains a shower and the hall bathroom contains a clawfoot tub, complete with shower installation. You’ll find a washer and dryer convenient for your laundry needs, and an iron and ironing board are available, as well.

Beautiful property with character and all the amenities you could need. The owners thought of every detail, even having extra toothbrushes in the bathroom, which was perfect because someone in our group forgot theirs! Location is just minutes from UTK. A great alternative to staying in a hotel when visiting campus!

Inside was good, neighborhood was not so good
Doors did not close properly. Sidewalk was broken and uneven. Neighbor would rev his truck at 530-6 every morning. Construction is going on and you will hear it. With hammer beating and saws constantly running. It is a 5 minute drive to downtown. It was and old house nothing luxurious. Tried to cancel this booking since it was not as described and book somewhere else, but the owner would not refund. Won’t return to this house.

This was a cute eclectic apartment conveniently located just five minute ride to campus! It’s got a driveway in back with cornhole and the 2nd fridge was perfect for tailgate prep & storage. we thoroughly enjoyed are visit and would come back again Thanks Missy!!

We had a quiet and pleasant stay. The only thing I questioned was the confetti all over the house on the walls and in the lampshades even making me wonder how clean other areas were. But everything else seem as posted and was in a very quiet and safe neighborhood. Those beds were so comfortable had I not had a list of things I wanted to do I could have just relaxed there all day. The manager responded to messages very quickly and was very friendly.

Adorable apartment! The floorplan was a little unusual, but that's what I really liked about it. One bedroom/ensuite bathroom was just off the living room. The other bedroom and separate bathroom were down the hall near the kitchen. So it felt like there was a lot of privacy by having the two bedrooms separated from each other. Place was spotlessly clean and well-stocked with the essentials.

Great overnight stop.
Great stopover in Knoxville. Unique Victorian beautifully renovated. The beds were comfortable, water pressure strong, toiletries and coffee were a nice touch. There are train horns through the night, but otherwise really nice place.
