Called a few days ahead of time to let them know we would be arriving late. Gentleman was very nice on the phone, said he would notate the account, and the desk was open 24 hrs. When we got to the hotel, (very late as stated) another couple was getting out of a shuttle and blocked me from getting inside before them, and ran to the desk to get there before me. I waited patiently for my turn, which took forever, because the person at the desk, Wilma, clearly knew the people checking in ahead of me… when it was my turn at the desk, Wilma, informed me that my reservation had been canceled. She said it has been canceled because she ran the card on file, and it had been declined. She also said there had been no note stating we were coming late. When I asked why she didn’t call me if the card had declined, she did not have an answer, just kept telling me that there were no rooms available. Also, they had not contacted Travelocity to cancel this reservation.
