We had an enjoyable stay. Beautiful view, grounds, and trails. Wonderful amenities - very family friendly. The hotel could use some updating, the menu was limited, and some inconsistencies - maybe COVID-19 related. But, would definitely stay again!

The AC in the room was not working we called down to the front desk they never got back to us. My girlfriend went down to talk to them they never sent anybody. So we had to go down there a second time then they called maintenance. The maintenance guy busted his butt trying to do everything to fix it.

Nice place - our room was too hot called front desk - told us to open the deck door to cool off room. Not really what should have been told.

Stay at Maumee Bay Lodge

Pros: location to trails & lake
Cons: larger bed
Location: location to the lake and trails were nice.
Good experience, however the beds were smaller than expected. The employees were excellent and the facilities and activities were easily acessable.

great view..good service

Pros: I like the outdoor activities..biking..hiking.. the big pool is great
Cons: the hotel needs to be updated..rugs are old ..screen doors don't lock...bathrooms are fine but the toilets could be updated..the outdoors is very nice
Location: not a lot to do around the hotel
over all it's a bit overpriced...you can tell the hotel needs an uplift... however the service was very good..the stay was comfortable ...and we enjoyed the outdoors

Be wary of large groups!

Pros: I loved the amenities-the pools, the arcade, the restaurant. Every day they had activities geared towards family's with children and a nightly movie.
Cons: Enforcing quiet time would have helped me a great deal.
Location: Bike trails, hiking trails, the beach, Toledo zoo.
After entering our room, I was excited to check out the balcony. I had thought about that balcony prior to our arrival - imagining me drinking my coffee in the morning and relaxing in the evening watching the sunset. Well, that dream was shattered quite quickly. There was a large party of people checked into all the rooms below us. They had canopies set up, grills, chairs and tables. Smoking, drinking and using profanity was the name of their game. I inquired at the front desk about moving my room but was told there was nothing available. Therefore, I spent no time on the balcony due to their raucous behavior that continued all four days we were there. Then, on the Friday of our stay, a wedding party checked in to the rooms surrounding ours. Friday night they had their rehearsal dinners and Saturday the wedding. Both nights, they carried on late into the night depsite the 11p-7a "quiet" time. Overall, the facility is very nice with great amenities. Just be aware of the large parties that often take over the facility. There were rooms that looked so peaceful and inviting that face the lake. Unfortunately, I couldn't utilize our room as I had intended. The rooms were clean enough - not spotless, but acceptable. The shower had great water pressure. The wait staff are awesome.

don't pass this one up out of season

walked the nature trails and boardwalk, swam and sauna ed, used game rooms with kids and had a lovely dinner at Oregon Inn.
