I cannot imagine a better value. For this price, we couldn't get a hotel in Chicago with free breakfast cereal, yet at Cancun Bay we got clean rooms, fresh bedding and towels, comfortable beds, all-you-can-eat, all-you-can-booze, fun sports and other activities, multiple pools, and great staff. The sushi is very good and a great way to let your kids experiment with sushi without breaking the bank. Restaurant food is very good, but not for everyone. They serve great salad bar, salad dishes, rice, multiple meat dishes to put on the rice, fajitas at every meal, tons of side dish options, and tons of desert options. Food is healthy and well prepared. But it's not for those who insist on fast food like pizza and chicken nuggets. Some restaurant options are a la carte and you order off a menu. WARNING: Do not beat down the staff by parking your butt at same bar/restaurant day after day and over-eating and over-drinking. Glutons are not given NEARLY as much hospitality. I recommend moving around from bar to bar, restaurant to restaurant. Don't eat/drink at the same place two days in a row. Spread it around, or else they will get tired of seeing you there. And besides, you should be out on excursions and spending your money elsewhere. Yes, they will let you sit at the bar and drink yourself into unconsciousness every day. Yes, they will let you overeat at the same restaurant every meal. But give them a break. Not perfectly clean, cleaner than most US hotels. SAFE!!!

We travelled with 4 26 year old women who were specifically looking for a quiet, poolside vacation. Bear this in mind throughout this review, we were not looking for grand entertainment or wild night life! This resort provided exactly what we were looking for! The resort was extremely clean, small enough to move around it quickly and the staff was amazing. Our room was the junior suite, which had 2 double beds, a king bed and 2!! Bathrooms. The room was clean and continued to be well maintained throughout the stay. The two pools were both cleaned every morning, well maintained and it was easy enough to get chairs. The staff at the pool was incredible, anticipated your needs and kept the drinks coming. Staff at the buffet was the same. The food was decent but nothing amazing. The best part of our stay potentially was the retro show Monday night, which was more fun than anything we could’ve imagined! The dancers were amazing and the show was very entertaining. Overall the activity director put on some fun activities (water aerobics, bingo, volleyball, live music, etc). Our few ‘cons’ were pretty small. They regularly ran out of things at the bar (mint for mojitos, gin, rum, etc) but they always restocked the next day. The beach is also very small (as other reviews say). If you’re looking for a great beach, place to swim in the ocean, this is not the resort for you. The sand part was quite nice and very well maintained.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Cancun Bay! The staff went above and beyond to ensure we were satisfied. The pools are nice, and the beach is beautiful. A short walk to the ferry to Isla Mujeres. The food and drinks were also amazing!

The resort is small but comfortable, isn't the huge resorts on the peninsula hotel area, definitely you need to pay more if you want that. But if you are looking for a quiet, small and good service, this is your place. Food is good, some days better than others. Sushi variety is limited but fresh. The beach is small but is clean and enough room to enjoy it, or walk to another public beach close to it. Also the ferry is a short distance if you don't want to take the whole day tour to Isla Mujeres. Friendly staff, you have amenities in the room like coffee machine, hairdryer and soap, shampoo and conditioner. If you want to reserve your spot on the beach recliners, get up early and leave your towels and a book/beach bag on the chairs.

Hotel: This is a smaller resort and much less crowded than most other Cancun resorts we've been to. They have activities each night, but they are not advertised well. For instance, one night was karaoke night, but you wouldn't know it was in the back of the hotel unless you asked. The hotel is not very well taken care of either. Only the front area looks presentable, all other areas looked beat up and looked to be maintained by amateurs. The ping pong paddles had little to no padding on them. The bay area is perfect for small children as the water is fairly clear and the water does not get more than 2-3 feet deep. There are no waves and the area is very small. There were only 9 umbrellas available and around 20 lounge chairs. Rooms: We booked the Junior Suite and had 5 people in our party. The rooms were very spacious and clean. Two rooms had a king bed with their own bathroom and shower and the 3rd room had 2 double beds and the 3rd bathroom and shower was next to the common dining area. There was a coffee pot, but no coffee was ever supplied. The room numbers do not correlate to the floors and the setup for them is very confusing. Also, the elevator stops on one level and you still have to climb 6 stairs to get to the actual walkway where the rooms are. Food: The food was poor quality and there are not as many restaurants as advertised. The switch up themes for one building. The staff couldn't keep cups and spoons in supply either.

First I would like to say it was a very enjoyable trip this is a family oriented place so if you are looking to party till 2am not the place for you but if you are ready to enjoy a show till 10pm then yes this is for you. They do also play music and games around the pool. there are 3 options for eating and all are good but decently a high light for use was the restaurant by the pool outside. We enjoyed the ocean front on level 3 and was a great spot for me watching the water from our balcony.. The room was great house keeping service would provide coffee and water as well as drinks for the fridge no extra cost every day change of towels very nice and always a smile. the hotel. next store play loud music till 2 am but if you close the door you really don't notice it. if you sit on the balcony you can hear it though which was fine for me as I did enjoy that. Tips no butter go get you own at the go mart down the street and take to breakfast and for those that like sausage and bacon they do not serve that either but they have omellets eggs anyway you like and if you like pancakes waffles and French toast that is daily along with fresh fresh and salads something for everyone and some Mexican options as well. They do know how to cook tender meat so that was done nice. there is food till 10 pm plus room service for those who prefer that lots of options for booze unlimited but we don't really drink so was not really a focus for use the inside bar and room service open till 12 am.

There was construction happen out side our room the whole time super loud all day , it was hard to get a beach chair because people placed their crap on it for days , the food was not the best . it was difficult to book a cab for the ride to the hotel , and booking excisions was difficult as well the lady was strange and keep asking us if we were single which gave weird vibes . Staff was super friendly beautiful beach just outside .
