This is a beautiful property and the rooms are decorated nicely. We were here for a two day cheerleading competition at the convention center. There are several restaurants close by. We requested to extend our stay an additional day in the current room we had and was informed by the front desk it was granted. Unfortunately, it was not put in correctly and we were asked to move to a smaller room with fewer beds. As you can imagine sleeping on couch cushions on the floor is not ideal for most. We improvised, and made it work for our 8 year old. Yes we could have found another hotel but the issues was having the extra time to move everything before it was competition time. The gentleman working the front desk area was very helpful with his attempt to keep us in the larger room. He called several guest and asked if they would be willing to take a different room. We truly appreciate his help in trying to correct the issue.

The property is unique and decadent and a wonderful take on steampunk. The rooms were well appointed, the staff were some of the best I have ever encountered in my extensive travels. A must stay!

A gem of a hotel
This is my 2nd time staying at this amazing hotel. The lobby and rooms are beautifully decorated; we love the art deco. The staff are friendly, and helpful (valet included). We love the library lounge on the 2nd floor, where you can enjoy a game of chess, a glass of wine, or just relax. The Ivey’s hotel is within walking distance to the Spectrum (4mins), and so many restaurants. We love the restaurant, Jinya (ramen noodle etc), just about a 10 min walk from the hotel. Sophia’s lounge, is a must experience. We enjoyed a flavorful breakfast both stays and the food and service is the best. Highly recommend this hotel. It is our favorite when in Charlotte.

Will definitely stay here again if we are in Charlotte. We came to spend the night so we could go to the show at the Blumenthal. This hotel is perfectly located right across the street. Many great dining options in the area! Staff very accommodating!
