The hotel was beautiful and the staff was friendly. I am not writing this review to prevent you from staying at the Ivey's but I had a poor experience. A couple of days before my stay, I received a phone call asking if there was a special occasion for my visit. I told the individual on the other end of the line that I was planning on proposing to my girlfriend. The individual asked if I wanted anything additional or special added to the room. I replied no thank you. When we arrived at our room I was taking care of our luggage and my girlfriend was in awe of how beautiful the room was. When she entered the room she saw a card with champagne. The card read "Congratulations on your engagement". After she left the table and I was able to check out the room I asked if she had seen the card. She had. You can imagine my disappointment. The surprise weekend had been ruined. Ultimately, I was able to get over the disappointment. I knew that the person who made the mistake had good intentions. It was not the fault of the overall hotel staff for this error. I respectfully requested a call or meeting with a manager. This happened 5 days ago and I still have not heard from a manager or anyone outside the front desk staff of the hotel over this ordeal. I can sympathize with the staff that made the mistake but to not receive any sort of communication or formal apology is extremely disappointing and bad customer service in my opinion.

The room was very nice, clean and comfortable. Upon check-in the associate displayed very poor and unfriendly customerr service. He shoved a couple of papers at me and instructed me to initial and sign in highlighted areas but due to poor lighting I was not able to see highlights. The associate offered no assistance. He then informed me that there would be a $250 per day incidental hold on my card. I checked out approximately 8:30 this morning and was told I would receive my receipt later. It is now 5pm and no receipt. I checked my bank account and see that$750 was held I am very disappointed in the customer service delivery.

Beautiful high end room and bathroom was dreamy. The best smelling hotel ive ever stayed in! Love the lavender !

At check-in, valet services were not available. Parking and finding front desk was very confusing. We paid for city view and the only view was the building across the street. Staff was very professional and courteous. Room was very cozy, quiet, and clean.

The staff was exceptional and helpful. Perfectly clean room, very well appointed. My only complaint (and it's very minor) is that the curtains don't quite close all the way, so light from the atrium is always seeping into the room. Again, a minor point is what is altogether a wonderful place to stay.
