Their is tremendous value in this property. If you were in Old San Juan, you would have easily paid double. Additionally unlike Old San Juan, you never felt that it was too crowded. The fact that the University of Puerto Rico , has a Campus in Mayaguez, added to a funky, cool vibe in the surrounding area. Their were many cool bars and restaurants within a walking distance. I will definitely come back.

The hotel was clean and right downtown, a couple blocks from the central plaza. Room was quite small. No amenities. Check-in not overly welcoming.

We liked the safe parking opposite the hotel. Bed was very small for two persons. A second towel would have been great also a second chair to sit on!

Beautiful, historic hotel
This was a beautiful, comfortable hotel stay for our group of 3. The guy at the front desk loves his job and went above and beyond expectations to help us feel welcomed. He spent time explaining the historical background of the hotel and city as well as restaurant and activity suggestions. We stayed in room number 8 on the ground floor. It was very spacious with 3 comfortable double beds and a good size bathroom. Everything was nice and clean. If you're not a sound sleeper this room may not be a good fit. It was a bit noisy being on the ground floor and close to the lobby area. We wouldn't hesitate booking at this hotel again.

The hotel room is small as a walk-in closet. There's no phone in the rooms, and when I encountered an issue with the tv, I had to walk down and up the stairs from the third floor to have the issue fixed since There's no elevator. There's was no hot water, and at the time of checkout I point it that out, she suggested I should've come down to let them know. Terrible hotel not worth the headache.
