The Cook's Wall Cabin

This small L-shaped cabin has a comfy queen sized bed, a couch in a sitting area, and a kitchenette. There is a very small bathroom with a shower. It has a screened covered porch for your morning coffee or a meal at the end of your hiking, climbing, biking, zip-lining, kayaking or tubing. The kitchenette has a microwave, toaster oven, a small crock-pot, coffee maker, an electric griddle, as well as a gas grill outdoors with a burner. It is furnished with pots, pans, dishes, coffee, creamer, sugar, salt and pepper and utensils. We have a strong internet connection for work or entertainment.
Enjoy a private fire at your own fire pit and a beautiful view of the mountain from our gazebo. Sit and relax near one of our two water features . We share a yard but are happy to have you enjoy all our property has to offer.
We are 9 miles from the Hanging Rock Park entrance, less than a mile from Neatman Creek Disc Golf Course, 5 miles from Carolina Ziplines and 20 minutes to Pilot Mountain State Park, Pilot Mountain and Jolo Wineries, Midsummer Brewery, Danbury and Dan River Company (kayaking and canoes), less than 1/2 mile from Snyder's Barn. We are 30 minutes from Winston Salem for dining and arts! Go to hangingrock.com for information about activities in the area.

Cute and comfy little house. Thoughtfully prepared for guests with even tasty snacks for guests. Beautiful area as well and close to Hanging Rock state park. Only challenge was the small bathroom. But the overall package was worth it!

Nice little cabin in NC. Cabin and property very nice. Owners very welcoming. Cabin was decorated for the holidays and comfortable. Books, Games, WiFi. Close to Pilot Mtn, Hanging Rock SP and Winston-Salem.

Wonderful stay, comfortable bed and many thoughtful extras!
We stayed because we hiked Pilot Mountain and visited the hanging rock state park. It was close to both places and also the Jolo winery. It was our birthdays and the owners put sparklers and two little cakes in our room!

Great spot for a quick getaway to Hanging Rock
Spent the day hiking then checked in for a quiet night. Owners were great and had firewood ready to go for a campfire. Bed was very comfy. The house had everything I needed for one night. Enjoyed yoga on the screened in porch. Not far from the park's visitor's center/entrance.

Awesome Spot close to Hanging Rock
My husband and I had a fantastic weekend staying at Eric and Karen’s little cabin. It was the perfect place for us to unwind and get outdoors. Hanging Rock is very close by, and you have a great view of the impressive Cooks Wall from their backyard. I can’t thank them enough for their kindness and hospitality and for sharing their beautiful place. We hope to return very soon!

Cozy idyllic getaway - very nice! Perfect for couples
My boyfriend and I stayed here over 4th of July weekend to celebrate his birthday. It was exactly what we needed! Secluded enough from the main property to where we felt we had privacy, but the owners were also very attentive to any questions that came up. It is a fairly small cabin with light amenities (no TV) but that was perfect for what we were looking for, and it was just enough space for the two of us so we felt very comfortable. The location was great for convenient access to the state park, which was our main focus, but was only a short drive to restaurants and shops in nearby towns-- the best of both worlds. The booklet the hosts put together of their personal recommendations for local activities was informative and thorough. We also enjoyed spending time in the lovely garden, with beautiful mountain views. The space and surrounding area is very relaxing! It's evident they take pride in their space and we appreciated their hospitality. All in all, an excellent place to stay to enjoy nature and each other's company! It definitely made his birthday weekend all the more special.
