Quiet, clean, helpful staff. Rooms need to be updated, new mattress is # 1 update item, not comfortable due to age? Type? or both. Overall, this lodge is OK for one night stays.

This motel was convenient to everything! This is our new go-to spot in Oak Island! Had a great time and the rooms were decent for the price we paid. It was clean and staff was very friendly. We had no issues while staying here. And it's a plus that its dog friendly!

Good stay

Room doesnt appear to have been updated or painted in a very long time maybe since it was built, but for $100 a night peak season it was worth it. Nice pool and short walk to beach. Cleanish rooms

The motel is close to the beach yes but the condition of the room was shabby. The entrance door to the room did not close properly and had a gap in it and the bathroom door was the same way. The room had bugs in it and some that looked like roaches in the bathroom and the entrance to the room. The bed was not put together well had lattice for a headboard. The mini fridge was not plugged in and was set to the lowest setting lost some food because it was not right. Threw away some food out of the microwave because of bugs in it.

Uncomfortable

The room was small couldn't move around much it smell bad and we saw bugs. True internet barely work. Sorry just didn't like the room. But the walk to the beach was nice.

Never again

Staff was excellent. Went above and beyond. The motel itself is just very old and outdated. Smell of smoke was awful. Actually had to go to a dollar store to buy a fly swatter because the screen in the bathroom was torn. That said it was the other guests that ended our stay early. The constant gatherings outside our room with loud vulgar language and one of them calling my wife the "b" word because she thought that she was trying to cut in line to check in clerk was the last straw. Just not a good place for Christians.
