So, a few things were wrong with this hotel. First, the entire building smells of weed, which doesn’t bother me since I will smoke sometimes but it was horrible for my non smoking husband. We called down to guest services because our toilet wouldn’t flush and they LITERALLY had us but our hand in the back to reconnect the chain instead of sending someone up. It was super noisy at night due to arguing couples and people outside. The breakfast was not really breakfast so please prepare to buy out. The rooms were not filthy however the bed linen was covered in ink and had cigarette burns throughout. Also, the heat did not work. We shall stay else where on our next visit to Charlotte.

They have a sign saying if u have a Charlotte id or live a certain distance that u can’t check in there but when I called and asked how much were there incidentals and they told me there is no incidentals they never said if ur a Charlotte resident that u can’t stay there. So after being told that the young boy said I could either have him cancel my reservation or I could give him an extra $20 and send to his cash app. I only did it because I have my daughters and needed somewhere for us to stay for the night and couldn’t keep looking and keeping them outside, it had already been a long day. So this boy is probably telling so many guests that he will bypass I guess this unfair rule they have at this particular microtel if u just give him an extra 20-25. This is so not right, but again I paid it cuz I needed a place for my 4&5 year daughters to stay for the night and couldn’t keep them out too late
