The good: Beach, outside the water Nice pool Quiet setting The bad: Service Beach, inside the water Food Details: We reserved a beach front room. We received a southern room on the second floor. Going out to the porch we realized we are above the restaurant with all the cooking smells in our porch. We asked to be moved and were told the hotel was fully booked, although there were not too many guests around us. On day #1 we came back to our room around 3PM. It was not cleaned. Only after back and forth of convincing, someone came. On the same day we asked for a mini fridge to keep some fruits and milk for coffee (no sugar or anything else left by the coffee machine). We were told it would be placed. We never received it, despite reminders. On day #2 we were amazed when we came back to our room at 3:30PM and saw that it was again not cleaned. We called the front desk and were told someone would come later. When we went later to check at the lobby, the front desk told us it would not be cleaned since there is no more housekeeping. We asked to talk to the manager and were told we cannot do that until the following day. Numa restaurant: poor quality overpriced food. Beach: not suitable for swimming. Shallow water full of seaweed. Bottom line: poor service. Bad food. Cannot swim in the beach. Would highly recommend avoiding this hotel.

The room and hotel itself were nice, but due to a lot of small problems adding up, I have to give a lower overall rating. We paid for an ocean view room but we were checked into a 2nd floor room with a view completely blocked by trees. The fridge in our room was also not functioning. We were moved to a different room the second day but still had several issues with this room. The air conditioning stopped working, the jets in our tub never functioned, and the water completely shut off briefly (while I happened to be mid shower). Dealing with these issues was a chore with the language barrier, as well. The pool was freezing cold, when it was open, but was completely out of commission for 2 days after a storm because they were working on removing sand. I never felt any empathy or remorse for these numerous issues. We were never given any kind of compensation or perk for dealing with so many issues. Even getting an umbrella up by the pool was a chore. Getting service for food and drinks at the pool, it was clear there were not enough employees. I had very high hopes for this lovely location, but was completely disappointed.

We loved this hotel! The rooms were large and clean. We had a beautiful balcony with an extremely beautiful view. The pools were fabulous. Yes, the beach is small, but it is a beach and not smaller than some of the beach clubs that we have gone to in the past. I would highly recommend this hotel
